With six programs in edit at once, we tried to provide the directors and editors with flexibility in the mixes - plenty of easy to edit loops and arrangements. The soundtrack is mainly hard-edged, cold and punchy. It's a mixture of odd sounds, dirty guitars, and twisted beats.
Discovery Channel - Series 2 - 8 x 50 mins Tigress Productions
This time there were eight edits happening at once. The pressure was on to deliver fast! The music emphasizes the feelings of urgency and danger, but also the sense of 'otherworldliness' and isolation. We used pounding tribal rhythms for energy to replace the heavy guitars from Series 1, and dark evolving sounds to help support the abstract or 'outer-space' scenes on the barren south-side.
